About the Authors:

Donald Goldberg, R.Ph., is a pharmacist with more than 34 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, marketing, and product development in the nutritional supplement industry. He has served as Director of Quality Control for Ingram Pharmaceutical Company, Boericke & Runyon, and Shaklee. He was Technical Director for Arkopharma, Vice President of Operations for Faraday Labs, and President of Vitamix, Inc., and Nutriceutics, Inc. He has lectured on herbal medicine and therapeutic nutrition to doctors throughout the United States and Canada and served as publisher for the newsletters Phytofacts and Nutriceutics News. He was a Contributing Editor, Nutrition, for The Chiropractic Journal and is Assistant Sysop on Compuserve's Natural Medicine Forum. In 1992, Mr. Goldberg purchased Willner Chemists, a Nutritional Pharmacy, in partnership with Arnold Gitomer. Currently, he is cohost and producer of The Willner Window Radio Program on WOR in New York City.

Arnold Gitomer, R.Ph., is a graduate of the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy. He has served as Chief Pharmacist for West-Ward, Inc., and Production Manager for Columbia Pharmaceutical Company. He has also taught toxicology at the New York Chiropractic College. In 1972, he co-founded Lewis-Gitomer Labs where he began to work closely with alternative health professionals. As a distributor of Nutri-Dyn Products, he became familiar with the requirements of holistic practitioners and the use of nutritional, glandular, and homeopathic products. In 1992, he purchased Wilner Chemists, a Nutritional Pharmacy, in partnership with Donald Goldberg. He is the lead host of The Wilner Window Radio Program on WOR in New York City.

Robert Abel, Jr., M.D., is a graduate of Wesleyan University and Jefferson Medical College. An ophthalmologist, he performed his ophthalmology training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and a cornea-transplant fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Abel co-founded the alternative medicine curriculum at Thomas Jefferson University where he is a clinical professor of ophthalmology. A recipient of the senior honor award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he has helped found eye banks, assisted with the translation of ancient Ayurvedic eye therapies, and holds patents on artificial corneas. Dr. Abel has long been a nationally renowned teacher of conventional eye therapy and is the author of The Eye Care Revolution. He lives in Wilmington, Delaware with his wife, three children, and dog.
