Cat?s Claw is a Peruvian herb known as una de gato.
The uncaria vine (from which Cat?s Claw is made), grows in the
Amazon?s Andes Mountains, 400 to 800 meters above sea level.
The two most common species of uncaria are tomentosa and guianensis.
The tomentosa is used for it?s beneficial qualities. The part of the vine
for extraction is the inner bark.
The bark of the vine can also be used to make a tea.
Cat?s Claw was traditionally used by the Ashaninka Indians for a host
of applications.
Cat?s Claw may offer antioxidant protection and dietary
