Carnitine is essential for the production of energy from
fats, a process called fatty acid oxidation.
Major body tissues, such as the heart and skeletal muscles, depend on
fatty acid oxidation as a primary source of energy. L-Carnitine promotes proper fatty acid oxidation by
transporting long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria for energy
production.
Also, L-Carnitine facilitates the metabolism of
carbohydrates, enhances the rate of oxidative phosphorylation (ATP or energy
production).
L-Carnitine is a naturally occuring compound made in the
body from the essential amino acid lysine and methionine.

L-Carnitine 1000 is naturally synthesized by microbiological
fermentation and is not animal derived.

Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5) is added because it also is
