Colostrum provides the highest integrity colostrum with the most bioactive properties for
immune support. It supplies selenium and vitamins A and D, which newborns are deficient in as well as providing antibodies to support the immune system and growth factors that encourage the development of healthy intestinal tissue. KPx Technology bovine colostrum is produced in the United States and manufactured in FDA and USDA approved facilities. It is harvested within the 1st 12 hours post paturition for peak bioactivity.
Vitamins A, C, D and the mineral Selenium provide antioxidant support. They promote healthy immune, respiratory and gastrointestinal systems. They help supply what may have been lacking in the mare which reduces the foals susceptibility to respiratory and intestinal distress.
Vitamin B12 is important for the production of red blood cells and proper digestion which makes it important for foals with developing digestive tracts. A deficiency in B12 is common in horses with digestive upset.
