• Biotin is a sulfur-bearing vitamin that has been well established as an ingredient that is vital to skin and hoof health. A deficiency of biotin has been associated with dry brittle hooves.
• DL- Methionine is a methyl donor and is necessary for the transmethylation process. Transmethylation must occur for protein synthesis, which is vital to the healthy maintenance and repair of the hoof.
• L-Cystine is involved with sulfur bonding. It is an important constituent of proteins and it is largely responsible for their molecular configuration by forming disulfide bonds (cross linking).
• Zinc amino acid chelate is added because deficiencies of Zinc retard the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and protein, which are necessary for proper hoof condition and repair. We’ve also included the proper 3:1 ratio of zinc and copper to maintain optimum mineral absorption.
• Copper is necessary for cross-linking of protein, collagen and elastin in the connective tissue of the hoof.
• Vitamin B6 aids in the manufacture of proteins and is needed for the transfer of amino acids into the cellular interior. Deficiency of B6 impairs hoof and skin regeneration.
• Silicon is recognized as an essential trace element recognized for the health of connective tissue.
• Hoof Discovery™ is highly palatable and available in powder and pellet form. Powder contains alfalfa meal and corn oil for dust control. Pellets also contain alfalfa meal, wheat germ meal and cane molasses Horses love the taste and you will love the ease!
• Directions For Powder and Pellets:
Initial: (3 - 6 weeks) Add 3 - 4 scoops daily to feed.
Maintenance: Add 1 - 2 scoops daily to feed.
