About the Formula:
Cetyl Myristoleate Complex (CMO) is the common name for cis-9-cetyl myristoleate an all-natural medium chain fatty acid. It supports lubrication of the joint, range of motion, muscle resiliency, functions as an immune system modulator and like a fatty acid, it supports the production of favorable prostaglandins ( 1 & 3) and leukotienes.
Glucosamine HCl is the key building block of glycosaminoglycans found in tendons, ligaments, cartilage and synovial tissue, which helps support joint structure and function.. It makes up 50% of Hyaluronic Acid - the principal component of synovial fluid. As horses age and with injury, there is a decrease in the production of Chondroitin Sulfates and Hyaluronic Acid, which can result in joint stress, thinning of synovial fluid, and breakdown of connective tissue.
MSM is a source of organic sulfur. It supports proper maintenance of connective tissue function, and formation of collagen. It is used to support joint comfort and circulation.
Manganese is an essential mineral that aids in the formation of collagen and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) such as Chondroitin Sulfates and Hyaluronic Acid.
Vitamin C is required for the production of collagen for healthy tissue formation including cartilage, tendons and ligaments. As an antioxidant, Vitamin C also supports tissues from damage caused by free radicals.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that supports tissues from damage caused by free radicals. It also supports circulation and joint comfort.
Kelp is a rich source of vitamins, especially the B vitamins, as well as many minerals and trace elements to support joint health and comfort.
Flaxseed Meal is a natural source of essential fatty acids, minerals and B vitamins that support joint health and comfort.
Directions For Use:
Initial: Give 2 rounded scoops, twice daily, for 2 - 4 weeks.
For horses over 1,200 lbs, give 3 rounded scoops, twice daily, for 2 - 4 weeks.
Maintenance: Give 1 - 2 rounded scoops daily.
For horses over 1,200 lbs, give 1 1/2 - 3 rounded scoops daily.
