Policies
Pricing:
All prices quoted are in US dollars. All
prices are listed individually with each product; and are subject to change
without notice.
ABHNAVS does not honor prices that are
inaccurate. We do our best to prevent pricing errors. If you should find an
error in price, please tell us about it. In the event that we confirm a
typographical error, we will inform you of the error, and you will be
entitled to a 7% discount on your next order. In the event of price errors
where listed prices are below correct prices, ABHNAVS will make every
attempt to notify you of the error. We have no other responsibilities beyond
these.
All orders must meet our minimum amounts
in quantity of items and dollar amount. Any items having $0.00 value are
either no longer available for sale or, in the case of free samples, must be
accompanied by a minimum order. Free samples are always limited to quantity
1 per order. Items described as "discontinued" are present for
documentation and historical purposes only. These items are not for sale
even though the online system may indicate a price.
Clearance:
A product is placed on clearance for two
primary reasons:
* The item's "best used by" month/year
is close to the current month/year or has occurred within 60 days (these
products are a great value, but only limited quantities are available).
Exceptions to the 60 day window are refrigerated products such as
probiotics where the "best used by" date will be observed.
* The manufacturer has discontinued the
product or we have decided that we would no longer carry the product or
locate an alternate supplier. This usually occurs when demand for a given
product is not sufficient to either manufacture it or keep it in
inventory.
The availability of clearance items is
limited and once we are sold out of the clearance item, the item cannot be
back-ordered. Orders are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. If
the item was not a discontinued product, you should still be able to
purchase the product at its current online store price.
ALL sales of clearance items are final.
In the event of any differences in
prices, the product retail price will take precedence over the prices on the
clearance page.
Sales
Taxes:
ABHNAVS is required to
collect California sales tax on those orders with a ship-to address within
California.
Shipping / Insurance:
ABHNAVS ships both
nationally (U.S.) and Internationally (to selected countries). Insurance
can be added, at the customer's request (ABHNAVS does not automatically
insure all shipments and the customer is responsible for insurance).
Insurance can be
purchased as an item (Z-SHP-STDINS) at $1.00 per $100.00. Customer will
select amount of insurance desired (insurance does not cover cost of
shipping nor will it cover more than the actual value of the items shipped).
If a credit card is
being used to charge the order, then the BillTo information should match the
information used by the credit card company to send the monthly statement
(i.e. the name, phone, address, city and zip).
The recipient of an
order (that provided as the ShipTo information) will be provided with BillTo
contact information (name, address and phone#). The ABHNAVS packing slip
enclosed with an order may include both BillTo information and ShipTo
information.
We cannot accept
responsibility for packages that are lost or stolen once they are delivered.
If you do not wish to have your packages left without a signature, please
let us know at the time that your order is placed so that we can ensure that
your order is shipped with signature required on delivery.

Expedited shipping
is as of the date of shipment. Orders are usually processed on the
same day if received by 11:00am Pacific Time. Orders received after
11:00am Pacific time are processed the following day. Shipping is
typically done the day following processing. |

Gifts, Glassware,
Antiques and Collectibles shipping costs are determined after sale
with Customer. We will notify you by email for your approval of the
shipping charges and the additional charge to your credit card. |

For the USPS Flat
Rate, if it is not possible to fit all items into one of the USPS Flat
Rate boxes, we will notify the Customer and a decision at that time
can be made as to whether US 2nd Day Air Express or USPS Priority Mail
(non-FlatRate) should be used. |

ABHNAVS will select the carrier for
all shipping events. ABHNAVS typically uses UPS, and USPS. Shipments 13
oz. or less typically go USPS First Class mail; over 13 oz and less than 5
lb is typically shipped USPS Priority Mail. Our primary carrier for items
over 5 lbs is usually UPS.
ABHNAVS reserves the
right to change the shipping carrier at any time, even if pre-specified by
the online system. This is typically the case for shipments to Alaska and
Hawaii where USPS is selected.
Customer can request a
specific carrier by notifying us within 8 hours of original order. At the
discretion of ABHNAVS, carrier will be changed, but the Customer may be
requested to pay any difference in shipping costs.
Shipping is Free for
ONLY Vitamin, Supplement, and Nutritional Product orders over $75.00
(method is usually ground and carrier is chosen by ABHNAVS).
Insurance (when applicable) is a separate
charge and not included in this offer. This "free shipping" offer is for
orders under 4 lb. in weight and shipped to continental
U.S. addresses ONLY.
The
Customer is responsible for selecting the correct shipping option. If the
Customer should have received free shipping (UPS ground), but selected the
standard Vitamin/Supplement shipping charge, we must be notified within 30
days of the order placement date for a credit to be issued. Other than the
case where the Customer should have received free shipping, if an incorrect
shipping option is selected, we must be notified IMMEDIATELY and BEFORE 2pm
Pacific Time of the date of the order (or before 10am Pacific Time on the
following business day if the order was placed after 2pm Pacific Time). No
credit will be issued for orders already shipped.
There is no free
shipping on items non-nutritional items such as gift or glass items. The
shipping price is worked out post-sale with the Customer.
There is no free
shipping or shipping credit on International orders. Customer can select
alternative shipment method (time frame for delivery), but shipping costs in
this case will be added to the Customer's order as an additional (separate)
charge on the Customer's credit card.
There is a $3.00
processing fee for International orders which is documented by the customer
purchasing the online store item Z-INT-TERMS. The International Customer is
strongly encouraged to completely read this Terms-Of-Use page and should
thoroughly read the Z-INT-TERMS product description. The customer can place
a 2nd order for the Z-INT-TERMS or ABHNAVS can do it as well (there is an
additional $2.00 charge if ABHNAVS has to make this manual entry on your
behalf).
International Orders (see
also our
International Orders web page):
ABHNAVS is set up to process
international vitamin and supplement orders. Customer must read and agree to
this section and the web page on International
Orders before placing an international order.
Customer should
not order until they have confirmed that their country appears in one of the
acceptable lists (see "International
Orders" page).
Customer must
ensure that the product and quantity ordered is legal in their country and
does not require a doctor's prescription or special clearance.
Process /
Procedure for International Orders
For international
orders, ABHNAVS has implemented a process which requires that ALL
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS must add (purchase) the Processing / Terms item.
Details of the procedure are available under the
International Orders page.
Once an
International order has been placed, ABHNAVS will send an ORDER
confirmation email. There will be two confirmation emails: an ORDER
confirmation email and a CHARGE confirmation email for credit card charges.
If the ORDER confirmation email is not received, the customer must contact
ABHNAVS either by email or by FAX to request a confirmation of their order.
Failure to do so could result in an order
cancellation and a 10% cancellation fee.
Under certain
circumstances (dollar value of the order, address verification failure,
etc), a Customer may be required to supply additional credit card
documentation. Usually this occurs on a first time order where the Customer
is new and the credit card has not been cleared by our system. If this is
the case, additional documentation will be requested in our email regarding
the confirmation order (step #2, above). If additional information is
requested, it will almost always be for:

The first page of your most
recent monthly statement from Customer credit card showing credit card's
Logo and address along with Customer's name and address and the last 4
digits of your their card number.
OR
·
A copy of your credit card (front
and back) and
·
A copy of your most recent
phone, gas, electric or water bill which shows Customer shipping address.
Note 1: Our secure fax number is 8 3 1 6 7 6 - 3 2 0 6 (you can
block out all but the last 4 digits of your card #, if you wish)
Note 2: Customer can also attach a scanned image of your information to an
email. If you chose this option, please cross out all but the last 4 digits
of your credit card number and and send it to
egbInternationalOrders@egetbetter.com.
UPS air express services are available
upon request (by selecting the appropriate base shipping rate when making
payment on an order).\ With UPS, tracking information is provided to
Customer once ABHNAVS ships Customer's order.
However, we recognize the expense of
shipping with UPS, so ABHNAVS by default ships via USPS First Class
International (shipments less than 4 lb) and USPS Priority International
(shipments over 4 lb). Limitations of this service are documented on the
Processing/Terms Item which the International customer adds to their
shopping basket.
USPS First Class International and USPS
Priority International provide the cheapest method for shipping, but the
customer assumes the risk. Normally this option is very reliable since only
governmental post offices are involved. However, there is no guarantee
of insurance, tracking or delivery for USPS First Class International
and USPS Priority International -- the Customer assumes all risk. Our only
responsibility will be to provide, on request, documentation that the order
was shipped (i.e., a copy of the USPS receipt indicating date and shipment
to Customer).
For all International orders, the
Customer assumes all responsibility for import/export paperwork in the
destination country (ship to), getting the necessary governmental approvals
and payment of any import fees, brokerage fees, duty or other fees imposed
by the Customer's country.
By placing an order, the Customer
acknowledges that they are responsible for all customs, brokerage, duty and
other fees applied by their country. Customer acknowledges that any fees
not paid by Customer and billed back to ABHNAVS are the responsibility of
the Customer. Customer agrees that ABHNAVS shall have the right to bill the
credit card used in the original order for any fees that were the
responsibility of the Customer. Furthermore, ABHNAVS, reserves the right to
charge a $10.00 processing fee for any amount billed back to ABHNAVS due to
the Customer's non-payment of such fees. Customer agrees not to dispute
ABHNAVS credit card charges to recover such fees.
No credits will be issued for goods
returned or refused by Customer. Customer is responsible for acceptance of
shipment and for responding to any delivery attempt notification provided by
carrier. Return credit will not be issued for items returned by carrier due
to customer not accepting delivery of shipment.
Goods returned by customs:
The Customer must ensure
that nutritional supplements and vitamins can be imported from the United
States. If the customs in the destination (ship to) country returns an
order, we will refund to your credit card your total minus all return
shipping charges, all other charges such as customs warehousing and
quarantine fees or duties, along with 20% of the the product order value
charged as a re-stocking fee. The initial shipping charges (including any
additional shipping charges agreed to by the Customer as a separate charge)
are NOT refundable.
Payment:
We accept checks (US
BANKS ONLY), US or Canadian POSTAL money orders, and credit cards (Master,
Visa, Discover and American Express) and PayPal. Make checks and money
orders PAYABLE TO “A Better Health, Nutrition, and Vitamin Store”. Shipment
of products paid by checks will be subject to a 7-day holding period for
checks (once received) to clear. Only credit cards (listed above) are
accepted for international orders.
When the customer pays
by credit card, they need to be aware that if the information they enter for
their credit card is incorrect (e.g. billing zip code does not match what
the credit card company has on file) the transaction / purchase will be
declined, the customer's bank or financial institution may actually
"reserve" or "commit" funds in the amount of the declined transaction.
Individual banks and financial institutions vary on how they treat a
declined transaction. Some process the decline immediately and do not
reserve any funds, whereas others (usually the smaller banks and credit
unions) may clear the declined transaction after a number of business days
or even wait for up to 30 days to clear the declined transaction (with
reserved funds). If the customer is concerned with credit card balance or
having funds "committed", they should not re-try a declined transaction.
Similarly, when we "void" a transaction, the customer's funds may remain
"authorized" until they automatically clear (sometimes up to 30 days).
Customers with concerns about declined or voided transactions possibly tying
up funds should check with their card issuing bank or financial institution.
If our assistance is needed in ensuring committed/authorized funds are
released, please contact us on our main toll-free number (found at the top
of almost every page on our web site and under the contact section.)
Cancellation:
Only orders not already
shipped can be cancelled. All orders cancelled by customer are subject to a
10% cancellation fee. This includes Money Orders and Checks.
Backordered shipments
discussed under Availability. Backordered shipments are treated the same as
all other orders regarding cancellation fees. If a backordered item cannot
be shipped within 30 days, the cancellation fee will be waived.
Orders cancelled by
ABHNAVS are also subject to a 10% cancellation fee under the following
circumstances:
 | If the customer does
not respond to our email request or refuses to pay for additional taxes
(e.g. customer selected wrong state and taxes were not collected for the
order) or shipping charges (e.g. when customer selected an incorrect
shipping option such as free shipping when the order does not meet
requirements for free shipping). |
 | When an order is
completed with a check or money order payment, but the check or money
order is never sent. In this case, a letter requesting the cancellation
fee will be sent. |
 | On international
orders where customer does not respond to our email requests (initial
email, 2nd request, and final request) for order confirmation (see details
in the "International Orders" section, above). |
Availability:
All products are
subject to stock availability. We do our best to keep products in stock.
Orders for out-of-stock products will be placed on backorder for up to one
(1) month. For orders which have items that are out of stock, and others
that are in-stock, we will ship those items which are available and
follow-up with an additional shipment of any remaining products once they
are back in stock.
For any quantity
purchase of an item where insufficient stock exists, ABHNAVS reserves the
right to send a partial order and follow-up at a later time with the
remaining items.
ABHNAVS also reserves
the right to substitute an alternative quantity and/or size of the same
product where the substitution results in the same quantity ordered of a
given item. For example, two bottles of 50 capsules each, might be
substituted for one bottle of 100 capsules of the same product. Similarly,
one bottle of 100 capsules could be substituted for two bottles of 50
capsules of the same product. In no case will the Customer be charged more
for the substitution. Also, if a product comes in multiple language labels,
and if a given foreign language (non-English) label for a product is out of
stock, the English Language label will be substituted.
From time to time, one
of ABHNAV's suppliers will change their formulation of a product and as a
result, the number of capsules or tablets will change as well amounts of
specific ingredients. If the supplier changes the formulation of a product,
but keeps the same UPC code we will not distinguish between the original and
the reformulated product when it is shipped. On occasion, Customer may
receive the same item in different bottle sizes or with label variations.
Our policy is that as long as the UPC code on the label is the same, the
product is the same product.
Customer must notify
ABHNAVS by phone or email within 8 hours of placing an order if our policy
regarding back-orders and stock availability is not acceptable. When
notified, ABHNAVS will either confirm that all items are available or cancel
the outstanding order if all items are not available. No cancellation fee
will apply if the order is canceled for availability reasons.
Shipping costs for
additional shipments are paid for by ABHNAVS and no additional cost is
passed on to the Customer.
Gift items are often
one-of-a-kind and not stocked.
Separate Charges:
When placing an order,
please be aware that we reserve the right to charge separately for any
additional shipping (in special cases such as collectibles, glassware and
international orders). The right to charge separately applies to situations
where sales taxes which were not collected as required by the state of
California.
Returns (US orders only):
Reporting Services:
Due to the nature of the KAMM-12 reports,
there are no returns or refunds for KAMM-12 orders once the laboratory
requisition paperwork has been shipped. Customer must have lab work done
within 45 calendar days of the date order was placed. If there are any data
transcription errors from the laboratory report to the KAMM-12, the
laboratory data will be re-processed and a new KAMM-12 will be produced at
no additional charge to the Customer.
Vitamins / Supplements:
1.
Unopened products
conditionally qualify for a 30-day money back guarantee. This does not
apply to Clearance Items. Since we follow our manufacturer and supplier
guidelines for returned merchandise; different products may or may not be
returnable. Also, some manufacturers guarantee their products; we will be
happy to assist with manufacturer returns.
2.
If you need to return a
Vitamin / Supplement product, please call the Customer Service Department
at 8 8 8 8 5 6 - 9 9 7 0 to determine if the item is returnable and
obtain a RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION (RMA) number. When contacting the
Customer Service Department, please have the following information
available: Customer name, order number, and the nature of the problem.

Returned products MUST BE
RECEIVED WITHIN 30 DAYS of the original shipping date. Products MUST BE
RETURNED UNOPENED, COMPLETE, AND IN RESALABLE CONDITION. Products MUST BE
ACCOMPANIED by an RMA number. Products that do not meet these conditions
WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL BE RETURNED TO THE CUSTOMER. All shipping
charges will be the sole responsibility of the Customer.
4.
If the Customer refuses
delivery of an order, Customer will be responsible for the cost of the
return delivery service as well as a 10% re-stocking fee. Credit will be
only be issued for the amount of the original order less the shipping costs
and re-stocking fee.
Other Items
(excluding Reporting services and Vitamins/Supplements):
Sales for "Other Items" (those not
covered above) are considered final and not returnable. Damage related
issues, see the "Damaged Items" section of this document.
Returned products. Returned products are subject to a 20% restocking fee. This
includes orders that are refused at time of delivery.
Shipment Not Received
Claims must be made within 35
days of order or 30 days of shipment, whichever is longer. Customer must
notify ABHNAVS by email or phone within the allotted time frame. ABHNAVS
will not honor any claim received after 35 days of order or 30 days of
shipment, whichever is longer. If such a claim is received within the
allotted time, a claim number will be issued by ABHNAVS to document the
claim. ABHNAVS will research the shipment and determine if any refund or
compensation is in order. Valid cases where a refund or credit will be
issued include damage in shipment, lost in shipment or otherwise
undeliverable by our carrier. If our carrier provides documentation that
the shipment was delivered, we will assume the package was delivered. If
Customer requests or arranges for the carrier to leave a shipment without
accepting the shipment in person, we will not assume responsibility for the
delivery.
Damaged Shipment Claims
Any damage in shipment must be reported
to ABHNAVS within 5 days of receipt of shipment. Customer should contact
us by phone to arrange for return or pickup by our shipping company. If
there is partial damage, only the damaged items will be considered for
refund.
Damage for Vitamins and Supplement
products require either breakage of the container and/or leakage of product
in order for the product to be considered damaged.
Customer must keep all shipping materials
relating to a damaged shipment until such time as the carrier has had an
opportunity to inspect them to determine the cause of the damage. If

(preferably "double bagged") to store the shipment.
Failure to follow the above procedures will result in damage claims being
denied.
Refunds:
 | Refunds, when and if
applicable, will be issued by check or credit card depending on
Customer's method of payment. |
 | Shipping and
handling fees are non-refundable. |
 | If refund is due to
loss or damage, Customer will be asked to complete and return a claim form
to ABHNAVS. Customer must provide all requested information and the form
must be signed and dated by the Customer. The claim form must be returned
by mail or faxed back to ABHNAVS within 15 days (20 days for International
orders). No refund will be issued if the claim form is not complete and
returned in a timely manner. |
